EU programmes open for the OCTs

 

There is in annex II F to the Overseas Associtaion Decision a list of the Community programmes open to OCTs. In principle all OCTs are eligible for participation in the Community programmes under the same conditions as Member States of the European Union.

EU programmes mentioned in annex II F are the following:

In field of lifelong learning the main objective is to improve the skills of especially young peoples’ educational level in all  aspects.

The objective is to promote the competitiveness for small enterprises and companies and stimulate all kinds of innovation, especially eco-innovation, entrepreneurships and information flow.

The programmes of the seventh framework programme of the European Community is the most important instrument for co-financing reseach projects, technological development and demonstration activities.

The objecitve is to preserve and improve the culture and language diversities in terms of  audiovisual  ways.

  • The HRTP Japan programme (human resources training programme in Japan) and topical missions

Only Greenland and EU-members can apply on this programme. The main objective is to improve the cooperation and management studies between Greenlandic and Japanese for better insight in each other business, trade and industry.

In the Council decision 2007/249/EC the 2007 revision of the Overseas Association Decision covering the OCTs the criteria for access to the EU programmes are:

  1. Partnerships (one or more countries either from the Member States, third countries or other eligible countries)
  2. Joint projects
  3. Co financing
